Welcome to Year 3. I am Miss Kondal, the class teacher and I am supported by Mrs. Storey and Ms. Booth - our amazing teaching assistants. Here in Year 3 we try to make our environment as engaging as possible so the children can achieve their personal best.

Homework

Homework goes home on a Tuesday and is collected in and marked the following Tuesday. This will be times tables, spellings and a maths or English based activity. Additionally, the children have access to various websites including TTRockstars.

Reading Books

The children are encouraged to read appropriate novels and non-fiction books regularly. They are given time 15 minutes each day to read at school and we aim for them to match this at home. They should record this in their school diary and aim to have this signed by a parent at least once a week. Reading records are collected in and checked every Tuesday. 

General Reminders

• Our PE days are currently Thursday and Friday. Please ensure the children have the appropriate kit for each day. 

• The children will also need their own water bottle in school, which they have access to all day, please make sure that they are clearly labelled.
